This tree makes a great privacy screen. Whether standing alone or grouped together the Cryptomeria Tree exudes beauty. It's easy to see why this is the national tree of Japan and routinely planted at shrines and temples.

This graceful tree sports soft, dense, feathery foliage that is fragrant. The Cryptomeria Tree matures to a height of 30-40 feet and spreads 15-20 feet wide. It grows at a rapid pace of 3-5 feet per year. This easy to maintain tree is adaptable to a variety of soils, even hard compact clay. It grows in full sun to partial shade. Once matured and established it is also drought and disease resistant. There are very few worries when it comes to the Cryptomeria Tree.

The Cryptomeria is ornamental, versatile and hardy. The Cryptomeria Tree offers a colorful display all year long! For most of the year emerald green needles steal the show. The fresh needles are a brighter green than deepens as the foliage ages. As cold weather takes hold the Cryptomeria gets a purplish bronze tone. The bark is a thick, reddish brown color. This conifer has an upright columnar to a narrow pyramid shape.
