Meyer Lemon Tree
Citrus x meyeriDescription
The Meyer Lemon is the best indoor citrus performer and its popularity is evidence of this! This little tree can provide flowers and fruit up to 4 times a year! Give your citrus tree some sun, water, and food and watch it blow away your expectations. The care is surprisingly easy and the Meyer Lemon even grows great in containers. The fruit is sweeter than standard lemons since it's a cross of a lemon and a mandarin orange. You will love the way your homemade lemonade tastes. And the best part is that our Meyer lemons are grafted, not grown from seed, so you can have fruit in the very first year and a hardier tree. There isn't a better option for the citrus lover than these amazing fruit trees for sale in our online plant nursery.

How To Care
Grow your Improved Meyer Lemon tree in full sun and well-drained soil. When planting in the groundwater deeply 2 times per week until your dwarf citrus tree is established. After the first few months, water when the soil begins to dry. Meyer Lemons do not like wet roots so be sure the soil has dried down to about 2 inches whether in the ground or in containers. Citrus plants like humid environments so misting the leaves daily in dry environments is ideal.
Fertilize with our balanced slow-release fertilizer when planting and in early spring and late summer. Containerized plants perform better when fertilized 3 to 4 times per year. Fertilize your potted citrus with our balanced slow-release fertilizer when planting, the end of winter, early summer and again in fall.
Prune anytime to maintain shape and size.
The Meyer Lemon tree can grows outdoors in the ground in zones 8b to 11. Otherwise, it must be grown in containers as a patio plant or indoors. It will not tolerate freezing temperatures. Move your lemon tree inside when temperatures drop below 40 degrees.
