How To Care

Liriope is a clumping perennial grass that is extremely easy to care for.

Be sure to plant your Variegated Liriope in growing zones 6 to 11. This Liriope grows well in part sun to full shade and is adaptable to a variety of soils as long as they are are not saturated. Water deeply once or twice weekly when newly planted to help the roots grow properly. After establishment (about 3 months or so) Variegated Liriope is drought tolerant. However, be sure to keep your Liriope watered in extreme heat, especially in the first summer. Fertilize with a slow release, balanced fertilizer in spring for optimal growth. For a cleaner look, prune back your Liriope to about 2 inches prior to new spring growth. Liriope rarely has issues with pests. Disease is also rare unless this grass is grown in wet conditions. Variegated Liriope is deer, rabbit, pollution, and salt tolerant.

Landscape Ideas

Plant this perennial almost anywhere.  It does great in partial sun to shady areas. It looks great when planted in masses near a boulder or in larger natural areas for a more bold look and color.

Also you can use it as a border.  Plant each Liriope about 1-2 feet apart to give each plant bed a more defined look. Pink Muhly Grass and Pampas Grass are also great alternatives.

Excellent plant

Very happy with this plant. Needed a plant to have in front of my yue bushes. Planted 10 of them in the front of my house which only gets about 4-5 hours of sun each day and all of them are thriving beautifully. Watered every other day after planting for first month and let nature take care after that. Great purple flowers for 3 months. No bugs or pests to worry about.

Love the very verigated Liriope

The product itself was good; however, the packaging was not the best . This order came in pretty squashed... no dividers... just glad the plants made it okay.
