The Japanese beautyberry is much like the American Beautyberry except it is much smaller and easier to maintain.

As its leaves emerge in the spring, berries will start to cover the stems of this plant. As the berries grow larger, the weight starts to weep the branches really making this plant unique.

During the summer months, the Early Amethyst berries start to turn lilac purple. As fall approaches and leaves start to drop, the colors serve great interest! Fall is the best time for this plant to really show off. It's definitely a must have for any garden or landscape.

Plant as a specimen, in masses, or in a hedge. Flowers bloom on new wood. Expect about 3-4 feet when mature.
