Blue Wonder Colorado Spruce
Picea pungens glauca ‘Deloras’Description
Blue Wonder Colorado Spruce stands out in a sea of green landscape plants. Its stunning gray-blue foliage offers a beautiful contrast to your landscape design as well as a deterrent to deer. Extremely cold-tolerant.
This spruce variety is very low maintenance and rarely requires pruning due to its natural cone, or ‘Christmas tree’, shape. This shape makes it perfect for wrapping lights around the Blue Wonder Spruces for the holiday season.

How to Care
The Blue Wonder Spruce is a hardy plant that does well in full and partial sun and in the extreme cold, and is salt tolerant. For a healthy start you will need to water regularly during first growing season . Water frequency can be reduced once established.
A few snips around the holidays yield lovely additions to your holiday arrangements for decorating your home! You’ll only have to trim dead or broken branches in the winter time, then you will need to feed with a general purpose fertilizer before new growth begins in spring.

Landscape Ideas
The Blue Wonder Spruce can be used as hedgerows and privacy screens in areas with limited space, making for an eye catching design that won’t impede into the neighbor’s yard. They also look great as stand alone trees and accent pieces. You will need to plant your Blue Wonders 10-20 ft. apart for a tight hedge row.
