Knock out roses are pest and disease resistant and easy to grow. This miniature rose is a real treat as a centerpiece in a pot or dappled throughout your landscape. This tiny plant offers a romantic and beautiful pop of color.

Key Features:

  • The petite knock out rose has vibrant red color that doesn’t fade as the blooms age. This red miniature knock out rose flowers throughout spring, summer, and fall. So you will enjoy tons of great color and blooms!
  • This low maintenance plant is easy to grow. Once established the petite knock out rose requires only minimum care. It is disease and pest resistant and even self-prunes the spent blooms! No dead-heading required for reblooming!
  • There is no better rose for containers than the petite knock out rose! This tiny rose bush only grows to 18 inches so you won’t even need to repot it! Pro Tips: Plant in full sun for the best and most plentiful blooms. Water when the soil is dry for the best health and growth.
  • Plants that are grown in pots usually need fertilized more often than plants in the ground because of water draining from the pot and carrying nutrients with it. Fertilize at least twice per year with our slow release fertilizer. Early spring and late summer are great times to use this fertilizer.

Petite Knock Out® Rose Care

Spring and fall are the best times to plant in most areas. However areas with mild summers or mild winters can plant at those times as well. Plant in containers anytime of the year. With the exception of zone 5. In this region these plants cannot be planted or kept outdoors in winter without some type of protection.

Plant the petite knock out rose in full to part sun. This knock out rose adapts to just about any well-drained soil. Water deeply when planting and about twice weekly for the first 2 to 3 months. Once your plant is established, allow the soil to dry before watering. Use our slow release fertilizer to feed your petite knock out rose in early spring. It can be used again in late summer to give your plant a boost. Plants in containers should be fertilized at least twice per year. While this knockout rose does not require pruning, pruning can help it grow and even bloom better. After the second winter, prune back this plant by at least half in early spring.

Landscape ideas

The petite knock out rose is amazing in groups for loads of color. It also looks lovely sprinkled throughout the home landscape in mixed beds. This small rose can even make a stunning border.

You have endless options when planting this miniature red rose in pots. It looks pretty on a sunny patio, deck, or entryway.
