Spring and Fall are ideal times to plant. Proper location choice, watering, and fertilization are the keys to your success. Corkscrew Willows rarely have issues with disease and are even resistant to Verticillium Wilt. Fungal issues can arise on occasion however.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eUsually treating after infection isn't extremely effective, so if you have problems yearly treat in early spring with fungicides to prevent infection. Scale and aphids can affect Willows. You can treat these pests naturally with horticultural oil, neem oil, or insecticidal soap. If you encounter flower drop or only a small crop of flowers it is more likely to be a lack of water than it is a lack of fertilizer. Mulching 2-3 inches deep is recommended for hibiscus. Mulching will cut back on watering needs, prevent weeds, and protect your plant in extreme temperatures. Choose a balanced slow release fertilizer, like what we carry. Fertilize once in spring after the last chance of frost and again in midsummer for best results. If you have a nutrient rich soil, skip the midsummer dose of fertilizer. Avoid over fertilizing your Hibiscus. This can cause blooms to never open and even encourage aphids, one of the few pests of Hibiscus. You don’t need to prune this Rose of Sharon, but of you need to remove dead or crowded branches or control size prune in late winter or early spring.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe best way to prevent disease and pests is by providing the appropriate care for your plants. Features: The Goji Berry plant is by far one of the easiest plants to grow. Goji are drought tolerant and prefer well draining soil. The Goji plant flourishes in zones 5-9. It is able to endure a variety of climates. Goji plants are able to tolerate extremely cold temperatures (as low as -18 degrees), dry conditions and humidity.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Goji Berry plant likes both ground and containers. They are able to grow in both sun and partial shade. However, the harvest will be greater with more sun. When it matures the Goji Berry will yield close to 7 lbs. of berries a year under the right growing conditions. Bright red, delicious berries appear around the second season. This Goji plant will continue to produce year after year.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe longer you have them on the bush the sweeter they will taste. What’s better than having a healthy snack growing right in your own yard? You can eat them fresh, freeze them, dry them or even juice them! The possibilities with this 'super fruit' are endless.
