Confetti Abelia
Description
Confetti® Abelia adds a sweet and simple pop of color to any landscaping design. During the warm season, the variegated foliage is light green with creamy white margins. The cooler seasons graces the shrub with a rosy hue making all the different colors blend together into a handful of confetti! An abundance of white, slightly fragrant flowers are produced during late summer to fall. Fall brings more color, adding rose and bronze to the mix.
With a beautiful spectrum of pale green, creamy white, and blushing pink this plant is literally a Confetti of pigments. Besides the color, the Confetti Abelia is a very versatile and hardy plant. From small groupings, mass plantings to containers, this plant brings distinctive charm to any of your landscaping needs. Not only is it versatile in the area you plant it in, but this plant is frost, drought, heat and deer resistant. The Confetti Abelia will thrive in full sun to partial shade.
What more can you ask for in a shrub?! With a little maintenance, the Confetti® Abelia can go a long way. To get the best results and color out of your Confetti® Abelia it is advised to plant 5 feet apart to allow room for mature growth, plant in full sun for best color results, and provide a slow release, high nitrogen fertilizer in the spring.
This eye-catching shrub provides an abundance of pastel color with little care and will definitely add curb appeal to any home or place of business. Add some Soft Touch Holly or Green Mountain Boxwood shrubs into the mix for a great look!

How To Care
Planting Time: Any time of the year taking care to avoid temperature extremes, especially the height of summer.
Sun: Full sun for best blooming
Soil: Very adaptable, but fertile, well drained is ideal
Water: Deeply water when newly planted and once or twice weekly during establishment. Once established, only minimal watering is needed and generally only during extended periods of dry, hot weather.
Fertilization: A fertilizer for flowering shrubs like Rhododendrons will work great for Abelias. The best times to fertilize are early spring and/or early summer.
Pruning: Abelias do not generally require pruning, but if pruning is desired winter is best.
