Pink Mimosa Tree Care

Pink Mimosa trees are easy to grow and don't require much maintenance. They are deer resistant, drought tolerant, and don't tend to have issues with insects or diseases.

These trees will perform best in full sun, but can tolerate mild shade and are adaptable to just about any soil as long as it is well-draining. Mulching with a 2 inch layer of mulch is ideal for newly planted Mimosas. Mulch helps keep soil moist and protects roots during temperature extremes. Mimosas should be watered deeply about 2 times per week after planting for about 3 months. After this establishment period, water deeply about once weekly when conditions are dry. Mimosa are drought tolerant once established. Fertilize in early spring and when planting with our balanced slow release fertilizer to give your tree a boost and help it achieve the best blooms. Mimosas do not generally require pruning, but if needed, prune when they are dormant to remove any dead, dying, or crowded branches.

Landscape ideas
The Pink Mimosa tree will look great anywhere in your landscape. The pink pompom blooms and fern-like green leaves add exciting and unique elements to your yard. Mimosas look great as single specimens planted in your yard and provide a strong, but beautiful focal point.
