Description

The Meyer Lemon is the best indoor citrus performer and its popularity is evidence of this! This little tree can provide flowers and fruit up to 4 times a year! Give your citrus tree some sun, water, and food and watch it blow away your expectations. The care is surprisingly easy and the Meyer Lemon even grows great in containers. The fruit is sweeter than standard lemons since the Meyer Lemon is a cross of a lemon and a mandarin orange. You will love the way your homemade lemonade tastes from your very own Meyer Lemons! And the best part is that our Meyer lemons are grafted, not grown from seed, so you can have fruit in the very first year and a hardier tree!

How To Care

Grow you Improved Meyer Lemon tree in full sun and well-drained soil. When planting in the groundwater deeply 2 times per week until your dwarf citrus tree is established. After the first few months, water when the soil begins to dry. Meyer Lemons do not like wet roots so be sure the soil has dried down to about 2 inches whether in the ground or in containers. Citrus plants like humid environments so misting the leaves daily in dry environments is ideal.

Fertilize with our balanced slow release fertilizer when planting and in early spring and late summer. Containerized plants perform better when fertilized 3 to 4 times per year. Fertilize your potted citrus with our balanced slow-release fertilizer when planting, the end of winter, early summer and again in fall.

Prune anytime to maintain shape and size.

The Meyer Lemon tree can grows outdoors in the ground in zones 8b to 11. Otherwise it must be grown in containers as a patio plant or indoors. It will not tolerate freezing temperatures. Move your lemon tree inside when temperatures drop below 40 degrees.

Plant were received dead

Sent a lemon tree to my friends as a gift for the birth of their 1st child. Thought, send them something they can watch grow as a family. Unfortunately, my friend informed me that the plant were received pretty much dead. SO embarrassed!!! :( I've emailed support with photos in hope they'll send a new...live...plant.

Too early

So far so good. It’s just a week old. I can say the tree was received quicker than I expected and it was in very good condition

Great tree, great customer support!

My experience started out with problems. When my tree was received, it was left on my porch upside down in the Louisiana Summer heat. When I opened the box, the tree looked bad. The main center branch of the tree was broken and the box was filled with dead leaves; only a few remained attached to the tree. There was a dead lemon or two loose at the bottom of the box with the dead leaves. I contacted Customer Suppport and told them about tree and sent them a couple of photos. They called me and told me that they would send me a new one and that mishandling by the carrier and southern summer temperatures had gotten the best of the tree and that it was in good shape when the plant was sent out. She suggested that I wait until cooler temperatures of October for my free replacement tree to be sent. She also told me to keep the original tree and that I may be able to revive it. When the new one appeared, it was covered in leaves and had four growing lemons. All branches were intact. It is an excellent dwarf tree as they promised! By the way, the original damaged tree has recovered and is full of leaves with only the broken center stalk (which I trimmed) as a reminder of its rough treatment during transit. THANK YOU PLANTING TREE! The tree is great as is your Customer Support.
