How can I check the status of my order?

We will send you notifications at each stage. The type of notification will depend on the contact information you entered at checkout – email, text or both. If you have not received a notification from us, please use the contact form below to inquire about the status of your order. Be sure to include your order number, full shipping address and anticipated shipping date. Thank you for your time and patience as we work diligently to assist you as quickly as possible.

When will my order ship?

Our processing time for most orders to ship is 1-3 days, excluding weekends. West Coast orders may be held until the following Monday to prevent additional transit time. Orders may incur additional delays based on seasonal demand and product availability. Note: Some plants are not available for immediate shipment, but are available for pre-order and this will be indicated on the product page. Please see our transit time page which shows average delivery times to your location.

Can I delay the shipping of my order?

Yes! At checkout, you will be able choose to "Delay shipping for this order". If you want to delay an existing order, contact us immediately at 980-444-2353. If the order has already been processed and left our nursery, we will not be able to add a delay. Note: we can not guarantee a shipping date. The date you are choosing is the day it will leave our nursery. Please see our transit time page which shows average delivery times to your location.

Can I cancel my order?

Feel free to email us at support@plantingtree.com or call 980-444-2353 to cancel your order. Please note any orders cancelled or changed during the shipping process will incur a 25% restocking fee.

Why are the leaves on my tree turning yellow?

Too much water OR too little water. Watering your new plants is critical for them to thrive. Most plants die within 1-2 weeks due to inadequate watering. However, over-watering can also lead to the plant dying. Too much water will suffocate the plant. Check your soil, whether in a pot or in the ground. Stick your finger at least an inch down into the soil. If the soil is wet or damp, do not water. If the soil appears dry, water. Remember it is better to do a deep watering once or twice a week rather than a small amount of water daily.

How can we help?

Please check your tracking number provided after your order has shipped.  If your package is delayed in transit, please give 1-3 more days as your package may still arrive.

If you have not received your tracking number yet, your order may still be pending fulfillment.  Plant orders take longer to ship due to the time it takes to carefully prepare each plant for shipping.

West Coast Plant orders are usually held until the following Monday before shipping to prevent additional transit time during the warmer months.

Some packages can get delayed in transit and may not show up at the same time.  Please give your order up to 3 additional days to arrive.  

If your tracking info shows delivered and you do not see your package, notify us and Fedex as soon as possible and check with your neighbors to see if it was accidently left there.  We can have Fedex trace your package and make sure it arrives safely.

Packages sometimes can become damaged by the carrier.  If your package is damaged, please take multiple photos right away.  Open up your packages and remove your plants.  Plants are very flexible and may not be damaged. 

Water your plants right away.  

If your plants are damaged, please take additional photos and attach below.

If your plants arrived damaged, we will need to be notified within 3 days of delivery with photos.  Most plants will bounce right back from shipping.

If your plants are wilting, they can easily be remedied by giving your plants a thorough watering with the end of a hose.  Do not leave your plants in the containers.  They should be planted right away.

Shipping plants may cause minor leaves and branches to break.  You may find some leaves and even soil in the packages from shipping.  Please don't be alarmed.  This is normal and will not affect the health of your new plants.

Our Guarantee 

We guarantee that your plants will arrive healthy. If your plant(s) die within 5 days we will replace your plant(s) with free shipping. Any damaged brown or yellow leaves from shipping is cosmetic and will not affect the health or quality of the plants. Plants bounce right back after being heavily watered and planted 

30 Day Warranty 

If your plant dies within 30 days of receiving your order, we will replace your plant under warranty. Shipping cost will be at the customers expense. 

Purchased 1 Year Warranty 

PlantingTree will replace your plant within a period of one year after the delivery date. Claims submitted after the one year warranty period will not be honored. Shipping cost will be at the customers expense.

Disclaimers 

- Please note that if we are out of stock of the item that has died, a store credit will be issued. 

- Plants must have been planted according to our planting directions to be eligible. 

- Does not cover plants planted in containers or pots. 

- If your plant is dormant at the time of delivery, we will replace this item if it does not emerge from dormancy by June 1st. 

- Plants must be properly planted according to our planting directions. 

- Shipping address of claim must be the same as original shipping address. 

If you need to cancel your order, please let us know right away.  After 4 hours, we cannot guarantee your order can be canceled.

If your order has already been processed, we will be unable to cancel your order.  

Customers will be responsible for shipping charges and restocking fees for returned orders if they are rejected upon delivery

If you need to delay shipping until a later time (ex. fall) please let us know right away.  We can place your order on hold and then release it at the appropriate time.
