How To Care

When planting your Cotton Candy Pink Muhly Grass choose the best location for this plant to thrive. Be sure to plant this grass in growing zones 6 to 9. This grass grows best in full sun to part shade. Muhly Grass is extremely adaptable to a variety of soil.

Water deeply once or twice weekly after it’s established. After establishing, it is extremely drought tolerant and only rarely needs water. Water thoroughly in extreme heat, especially in the first summer. Fertilize with a slow release, balanced fertilizer in spring for optimal growth. Prune back to about 4-6 inches in late winter or early spring before new growth emerges for a clean start. However, pruning is not necessary.

Muhly grass is extremely hardy as well as pest and disease resistant. It is also deer, rabbit, pollution, flood, and salt tolerant.

Cotton Candy Pink Grass

I didn't believe that anybody could ship 4 three gallon plants in a cardboard box and have them arrive intact but I could not find these locally. Nice surprise. They arrived well packed, wrapped in moist containers and are doing well. Kudos.

Pink Grass

Very easy to select, order & track. One day past estimated delivery but that was fine. No specific planting instructions included. Had to go on line to confirm size & spacing.
