How to Care

The Lady Stanley Rose of Sharon tree grows best in full sun. It adapts to a variety of environmental conditions and soils.

Water newly planted trees deeply about twice per week for the first couple of months. Once established these dwarf trees are drought tolerant. Add a 1 to 2-inch layer of mulch around newly planted trees to protect the roots, eliminate weeds, and reduce hand watering requirements.

Fertilize your althea tree in spring with our slow-release fertilizer.

Perform any heavy pruning in late winter or early spring.
