The Rose Creek Abelia is a dense, compact shrub that provides excellent seasonal interest. The foliage is bright green and eventually transitions to a deep purple when the weather begins to cool. Not only is the foliage beautiful, but the stems themselves provide a great contrast with their vivid crimson pigment. An abundance of white, slightly fragrant flowers are produced during late spring to fall. In fall the flowers take on a copper-rose color. These fragrant flowers attract butterflies and hummingbirds.

The Rose Creek Abelia is a very versatile and hardy plant. From small groupings, mass plantings to containers, this plant brings distinctive charm to any of your landscaping needs. Not only is it versatile in the area you plant it in, but this plant is frost, drought, heat and deer resistant. What more can you ask for in a shrub?! With a little maintenance, the Rose Creek abelia can go a long way.

To get the best results and color out of Rose Creek Abelia, it is advised to plant 5-6 feet apart to allow room for mature growth, plant in full sun for best color results, and provide a slow release, high nitrogen fertilizer in the spring. This eye-catching shrub provides an excellent source of seasonal color and interest with little care and will add curb appeal to any home or place of business.

Planting Time: Any time of the year taking care to avoid temperature extremes, especially the height of summer.

Sun: Full sun for best blooming

Soil: Very adaptable, but fertile, well drained is ideal

Water: Deeply water when newly planted and once or twice weekly during establishment. Once established, only minimal watering is needed and generally only during extended periods of dry, hot weather.

Fertilization: A fertilizer for flowering shrubs like Rhododendrons will work great for Abelias. The best times to fertilize are early spring and/or early summer.

Pruning: Abelias do not generally require pruning, but if pruning is desired winter is best.

Dependable service and healthy plants

I was shocked that after being transported for 4 days in the hot summer heat, the Abelia were in perfect condition. Better than if I had bought them at my nursery and transported them home myself. I received them within 6 days of my purchase. Excellent service.

Plants that I recently ordered

All of the plants arrived in good time. They seem really healthy. My landscaper will be planting them in a few days and hopefully once they are in the ground they will thrive and be beautiful. I have never ordered plants on line so, I'm hoping this will be a good experience and that I will be comfortable ordering more in the future.

WOW

I was impressed by the speed with which the plant arrived, the extreme sturdiness of the packaging, but most of all by the size and health of the plant itself. Nicer than the usual fare from the box stores for sure and even my local nursery. So very impressed! I immediately ordered 2 more.

A beautiful plant

I have ordered many plants by mail, but this one was in fantastic condition and very healthy. And now the little flowers are opening and the bees are appreciating them. This is a beautiful plant and if I had room I'd get a second one.

Looks good and thriving

Ordered 3 of these. They all came quickly (within a few days) and in good condition. About a month later all are thriving.
