Description

First Editions® did it again! The Strawberry Sundae® Hydrangea is a new variety from the plant connoisseurs that brought you the hugely popular Vanilla Strawberry® Hydrangea!

Flower clusters bloom creamy white in mid-summer. As the weather begins to cool, pink kisses slowly take over the lush, white blooms transitioning them to a warm, rustic pink. These stunning and unique strawberry pink blooms last throughout autumn. It is a long and impressive show you don't want to miss!

These hydrangeas will have the best color and most prolific blooms with full sun and proper watering. If you have a shady spot be sure it receives at least 6 hours or full sun. Hydrangeas are adaptable to any well-drained soil, but be sure they get enough water especially in the summer. The Strawberry Sundae® Hydrangea is pest and disease resistant. Pruning is unnecessary with this small variety making it a breeze to grow.

Be the first to get the best, new hydrangea! Get your Strawberry Sundae® Hydrangea today before they are gone! They are going to be a sensation!

How To Care

When planting be sure you have the right location and conditions for your new hydrangeas to thrive. Spring and fall are ideal times to plant Hydrangeas. Avoid planting hydrangeas in summer when temperatures are mid 80s or higher unless you can keep them watered and will not let them dry out.

The Vanilla Strawberry Hydrangea requires full sun to part shade and prefers moist, well-drained, fertile soil. In hot climates, hydrangeas will do best with some shade. This variety's color is not affected by soil pH. Throughout its life a Hydrangea will do best with a deep watering once weekly during hot temperatures. Mulching at about 3 inches deep is highly recommended for hydrangeas. Mulching will cut back on watering needs and protect your plant in extreme temperatures. Choose our balanced, slow release fertilizer for flowering plants. Fertilize once in spring after the last chance of frost and again in early summer for best results. You don’t need to prune hydrangeas, but pruning after they are done blooming can help encourage a bushier growth and renew an older plant. You can also prune (even heavily to control size) in winter as this hydrangea blooms on new wood.

The best way to prevent disease and pests is by providing the appropriate care for your plants. Proper location choice, watering, and fertilization are the keys to your success. The First Editions collection is pest and disease resistant making care a breeze!

Healthy plants!

I ordered 2 different hydrangeas. They arrived in a timely manner, were healthy on arrival and appear to have a good root system....one week in the ground and they look good.

Great Experience

I bought these hydrangeas to replace some oversized bushes in my front yard. I selected the 3 gallon pots. They arrived in good condition and the soil was moist. The website was also very helpful in my research to ensure I selected the right plants for this area in my yard. So far the plants are doing well.
